Silvertone by Kay (K-11)

I still love the old stuff. We found this at Sam Ash
in Indianapolis recently. Luckily for me it needed
a few minor repairs and so was undervalued I thought.
It has a 1.875" wide neck over an inch thick. Talk about
a baseball bat neck, this is a Louisville Slugger! The big
neck is arrow straight and this thing sounds great.

Holiday House Brand

More "new" old stuff. Headstock says Holiday but the books will call it a Harmony Stratatone Variant. I call it the cousin of the Ogallala guitar, because I bought one in Ogallala, Nebraska 20 years ago. Had to pay 10 times what I paid for that one. Oh well. This one is in remarkably good condition. A closet classic w/ossc, neck is dead straight, plays and sounds just like a Harmony Stratatone.
Maxitone Ukulele

My wife and daughter gave me a surprise party for my 40th birthday. A buddy showed up with this basket case uke. No bridge, loose back, etc. Its been on the wall for 26 years, and I decided this winter to bring it back to life. Five cents worth of glue, a couple of hours labor and a new bridge from Stew Mac and she's as good as new. No, better than new. Mother of Toilet Seat fingerboard, fun to hold and play and a great sounding uke. Thanks, Roy!
